Since I’ve had quite a few inquiries about whether I’ve heard from Mine That Bird again since the Kentucky Derby, see below for the answer. These tweets were from the day of the Preakness. Friesan Fire twittered me too! (Photo of Mine That Bird courtesy of Churchill Downs/Reed Palmer. Click for larger version.)
Those of you who know me know that it just doesn’t get much better than this for me.
These were received prior to the race.

This came in right after the race from Mine That Bird, and I retweeted the message.

I used to steam and shape Western hats when I was a co-owner of a feed and Western wear store in Sarasota, FL – - can’t believe I was wearing a straw hat this Preakness weekend, and not a nice black Resistol.
Guess I need to figure out a way to get ‘out West.’

Michael Mauro, a professional photographer, is holding a photography workshop on The Cowboy. The workshop is scheduled for August 16 – 21, 2009 in Colorado, and I am hoping to be one of the very lucky participants.
Michael’s wildlife photography is remarkable – - here is one of my favorite wildlife photos from Michael’s blog: Colder Is Better (Sometimes). Learn about all of his gear here.

David Stoecklein is one of my favorite photographers, and I have followed him for years because he takes pictures of things I dream about every night … Cowboys, horses, and the Western lifestyle. You may be sure I have his 2009 Cowboy Classic Calendar hanging right here next to me, and I have a collection of his note cards too.

Wow! What a GREAT way to start my day. Not only was I followed by the winner of the Kentucky Derby 2009, Mine That Bird, but he sent me a tweet. Don’t think I’m not bucking and kicking in my stall.

Update! Another tweet.
