Riding and training at Barbara and Darrell Gerken’s Ocala horse farm again this week allowed me another opportunity to take pictures and videos of the horses and riders who came out to enjoy the beautiful weather and facilities. Barbara, a lifetime member of the AQHA, FQHA, and NRHA, (and winner of many trophies and championships), and I showed horses together back in the 70′s and 80′s when we both lived in Sarasota.
Stephanie Jones, Denny Wallace, Pam Corson, and Robert Westcott are the trainers and riders you will see in the video.

This morning I stumbled into the horse stamp section of the Cyberstamp Club on Facebook, described as “Facebook page for Cyberstamp Club – Home of “virtual philately” where stamp enthusiasts collect, discuss, and trade virtual stamps by theme or country, for display in virtual (electronic) stamp albums on computer or mobile telephone. Ocala’s Barbara Gerken, a lifetime member of the AQHA, FQHA, and NRHA, (and winner of many trophies and championships), allowed me to invite myself out yesterday to watch Robert Westcott of Pushbutton Performance Horses ride two of her show horses at her beautiful ranch in West Ocala. What made it all the more fun was they hadn’t been ridden in quite a while, so I even enjoyed a little bit of rodeo!
