Taking pictures of live oaks and Thoroughbred’s on Ocala’s Live Oak Stud horse farm early Sunday morning… another beautiful way to start the day in Ocala.

Both Live Oak Stud and Double Diamond Farm are located in the York area of Ocala off of 40, and are just two of the many horse farms that call Ocala home.

So, too, does the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association.

Nothing Says Horses and Horse Farms Like Ocala.

Nothing says horses and horse farms like Ocala, everywhere you look. The pastures, signs, entries, and horses paint a beautiful landscape. Is it any wonder there are over 200 horse farms in and around Ocala in Marion County, Florida?

Some of the photos in the video were taken around some of Ocala’s beautiful horse farms in the York area, home to a few spectacular Thoroughbred horse farms like Double Diamond, Live Oak Stud, and Stonewall Farm.

Ocala Horse Farms Feed the Florida Horse Industry.

Ocala’s many horse farms provide great opportunities to take pictures, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Early this morning I took roadside pictures of some mares and foals who were just waking up for the day, amidst some big, beautiful trees and colored by the early morning light.

The Florida Thoroughbred industry, and breeds such as the Arabian, Paso Fino, Quarter horse, horses, and the Gypsy Vanner breed call Ocala, in Marion County, home. I’m glad I call it home too.

What Do You See On An Ocala Horse Farm Early in the Morning?

It is no wonder there are so many horse farms and training centers in Ocala and Marion County when you experience, for yourself, what you see on an Ocala horse farm early in the morning.

Aside from the Thoroughbred industry, and breeds such as the Arabian, Paso Fino, Quarter horse, and draft horses, the newly-registered Gypsy Vanner breed calls Marion County home.

Who wouldn’t want to wake up on an Ocala horse farm?

Ocala and Marion County are full of beautiful, rolling horse farms … these scenes from an Ocala Thoroughbred farm are why I love living here.

Horse breeders, trainers, jockies, artisans, and retailers feed the Florida horse industry and can be seen almost anywhere you go, in and around Ocala. LIKE!!
